6th Grade Reading
We are going to have a fabulous year of reading and interpreting different types of texts. This year will be a journey around the world and through time. Come ready with a positive attitude, open mind, and be willing to learn, do your best, and read, read, read! I am excited about meeting and teaching each and every one of you.

- Describe the conflict – was it internal or external? The conflict was external. The conflict was that the narrator’s family was forced to go into a concentration camp because they were Japanese.
- What was the climax in the story? The narrator lost the bracelet her friend gave her.
- What was the resolution in the story? They made the best of the bad situation.
- EXTRA: What was the THEME of the story? Objects may come and go, but memories will last a lifetime.
